Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Have proof of a HS diploma or GED.
• Meet health standards for the education program, including immunization status.
• Pass pre-employment screening including motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing, cognitive screening, and a physical agility test.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license (1 year driving experience).
• One year of work experience in healthcare or military preferred.
• Sign a 12-month service commitment/agreement.

Responsibilities

• Drives an emergency vehicle to and from calls, transporting patients safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrates competency in basic life support and EMT curriculum objectives.
• Assist in carrying patients and securing them for transport.
• Initiates patient treatment based on initial protocol and condition.
• Document required information accurately and completely.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and vehicle readiness throughout shifts.

Education
