Job summary

City of Glendale, CA is seeking a Part-time Ambulance Operator (EMT-1) to provide emergency medical care and transport for the Fire Department. This temporary, hourly position supports EMS operations and routine station duties.

Strong customer service, clear radio communication, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Duties include caring for patients, documenting incidents, stocking supplies, and assisting Firefighter/Paramedics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT certification (EMT-1) required; BLS CPR required; California driver license and driving record required.
• CA EMT experience desirable; 911 EMS exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care within EMT-1 scope.
• Operate an ambulance and transport patients to hospitals or facilities.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical information and incident reports.
• Assist Firefighter/Paramedics and support EMS operations.
• Maintain equipment, station supplies, and participate in training sessions.
• Communicate via radio and Ensure safe, professional response during emergencies.
