Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking an EMT to provide emergent pre-hospital care and lead the care team in a fast-paced setting. You will facilitate life support to patients in need and follow established treatment protocols to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • Two years of pre-hospital basic life support experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medications carried for EMT-Paramedic role.
  • Knowledge of basic and advanced life support and resuscitation procedures.
  • Ability to assess and manage care.

Responsibilities

Position:

EMT - Location - Newtown Square, Devon, Concordville, Broomall, KOP, Collegeville, Exton, Bryn Mawr Hospital

Shift:

Day shift, weekend requirement based on department needs

Experience:
  1. Minimum of two years of pre-hospital basic life support experience preferred.
  2. Knowledge of medications carried for use by the EMT-Paramedic in the treatment and management of neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients consistent with level of training and certification.
  3. Knowledge of basic and advanced life support and resuscitation procedures for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients consistent with level of training and certification.
  4. Knowledge, ability, and skills necessary to appropriately assess and manage care.
  5. Knowledge, ability, and skills necessary to appropriately operate basic equipment and assist with the operation of advanced equipment.
Education:
  1. High school graduate.
  2. 2.. Satisfactory completion of practical and written examinations administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Licensures/Certifications:
  1. Current Pennsylvania certification as an EMT or NREMT.
  2. Current driver’s license valid in Pennsylvania with a copy on file.
  3. Current BCLS certification.
  4. Hazmat Awareness, and EMSVO all are required.
  5. Other certifications are encouraged, such as: NREMT, PHTLS, BTLS, Fire I or equivalent.
