CHI Health Missouri Valley, in Iowa, is seeking an EMT to provide essential patient care within an outpatient setting, following clinic workflows to ensure high-quality service delivery.
You will perform comprehensive intake duties, obtain vital signs, verify allergies and medications, collect specimens, administer medications and vaccines, maintain a clean exam room, and escalate non-routine issues promptly to support clinical operations.
As our EMT, you will perform essential general patient care, meticulously following established clinic workflows to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery within an outpatient setting.
Every day you will complete comprehensive patient intake duties, including obtaining vital signs, verifying allergies and medications, and documenting reasons for visits. You'll also collect and prepare specimens, administer ordered medications and vaccines, clean and sterilize instruments, ensure exam room readiness, and meticulously complete safety checklists, escalating any non-routine issues promptly.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, efficiency, and safety, adeptly managing all intake processes and supporting clinical operations. Your ability to meticulously follow protocols, maintain a clean and stocked environment, and proactively address concerns will be crucial for exceptional patient experiences.
Assesses, treats and provides transportation to patients according to established State of Nebraska Emergency Medical Services rules and regulations, State of Nebraska Model Protocols, and hospital policies and procedures, independently, collaboratively or under the supervision of paramedics, physicians, physician assistants, or registered nurses and according to the scopes of practice allowed by the State of Nebraska and Good Samaritan Hospital.
Provides, assists with or participates in education for team members and community.
Performs and ensures safe, knowledgeable age-specific patient care in a holistic manner.
Performs value-added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction.
Graduate of a Nebraska approved EMS training program and One year experience as an EMS provider on a licensed ambulance service, upon hire
