Job summary

Saint Clare's Health, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to join its patient-centered team in New Jersey. You will render high-quality basic life support and transport patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings as a key member of the health care team.

The role requires NJ EMT certification (or PA/NY/ NREMT with NJ within 12 months), a current BLS CPR card, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to obtain PHTLS/ITLS/TCCC within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• New Jersey EMT certification current and valid.
• NJ/PA or NY DOH EMT certification acceptable; must obtain NJ within 12 months of hire.
• Current Healthcare Provider – BLS CPR card.
• Obtain PHTLS or ITLS or TCCC certification within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CEVO certification – must obtain within 3 months of hire and renew in 3 year period.
• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Previous EMT experience preferred.
• Must have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• The Emergency Medical Technician renders basic life support of the highest quality, compassion and dignity, while providing patients transportation in the pre- hospital and inter-facility settings. Functions as a member of the health care team in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures. Provides care to patients ranging in age from neonatal through geriatric.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $21.50 to $26.87. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
