Job summary

Saint Clare's Health in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN to join our award-winning team. The role involves delivering high-quality basic life support, compassionate patient transport, and collaboration with the health care team across pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.

The EMT will provide care for patients from neonatal to geriatric, must hold valid NJ EMT certification, BLS CPR, and drive safely.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Emergency Medical Technician certification.
• NJ, PA or NY EMT certification acceptable but NJ certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Current Healthcare Provider – BLS CPR card.
• Obtain PHTLS or ITLS or TCCC certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CEVO certification – must obtain within 3 months of hire and renew every 3 years.
• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Previous EMT experience preferred.
• Good driving record.

Responsibilities

• The EMT renders basic life support of the highest quality, with compassion and dignity, while transporting patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
• Functions as a health care team member in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Cares for patients ranging in age from neonatal through geriatric.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $21.50 to $26.87. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
