Job description

EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)

Full-time position. Immediate hiring. Hourly Range: $17.69–$21.14. Strongly preferred 2–3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well‑stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow EMTs.

Other Responsibilities

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Preferred Qualifications / Physical Requirements

Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, including extended workdays. Long periods inside the ambulance. May work indoors or outdoors with exposure to weather. Possible routine exposure to moderate noise levels. May periodically work in poorly lit environments while moving. Moderate to extended amounts of sitting, standing, walking, repetitive motions. Routinely lifting more than 200 lbs. with assistance. Pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing, and stair climbing. Visual identification of color‑coded items. Clear speech and hearing. Must be able to wear a face mask or respirator with proper fit for extended periods when required.
