Job summary

Erickson Senior Living at Ashby Ponds in Loudoun County, Virginia, seeks a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) to implement our security and EMS programs and provide outreach within the community.

The position is full-time daytime, 12-hour shifts from 7AM to 7PM, with every other weekend. EMT/EMR preferred; duties include patrols, responding to calls, enforcing regulations, and reporting incidents.

Qualifications

• EMT/EMR experience preferred.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to enforce traffic and parking regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and gatehouse relief.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic interventions.
• Handle emergency and routine calls for service.
• Complete incident reports using the online system.
• Work with local police, fire, EMS as needed.

Location: Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) at our gated retirement community. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing our Security and Emergency Services programs and providing outreach within the community.

EMTs are preferred!

Full Time Day, 12 hour shifts, 7AM - 7PM, includes every other weekend

How you will make an impact

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).
