Job summary

Central Valley Fire District (CVFD) is seeking qualified EMTs to join our EMS Transport Program as a part-time EMS Transport EMT. This role supports non-emergency interfacility transports and select 911 meet-up transports, with a flexible schedule and potential wildland deployment as a Red Carded Fireline EMT.

Qualifications

• Minimum EMT certification as stated (Montana or National Registry).

• Provide non-emergency medical transport for patients between healthcare facilities.

Job description

Position Title: Part-Time EMS Transport EMT

Compensation: $20/hour

Work Commitment: Minimum of 96 hours/month, not to exceed 32 hours/week

Position Overview:

Central Valley Fire District (CVFD) is seeking qualified and motivated EMTs to join ourEMS
TransportProgram. This part-time position supports non-emergency interfacility
transports (IFTs) and selected out-of-district 911 meet-up/transports. Reserve EMTs play a critical role in expanding EMS capacity, relieving pressure on suppression crews, and enhancing service delivery to rural communities. It is anticipated that there will be opportunities for wildland fire deployments as a Red Carded Fireline EMT.

This position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to be part of an innovative and growing EMS model. It also serves as a potential pathway into full-time EMS employment within CVFD.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide non-emergency medical transport for patients between healthcare facilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Current EMT certification (State of Montana or National Registry)

• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in medical environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in EMS transport or interfacility transfers
• Familiarity with rural EMS operations or multi-agency coordination
