Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an EMT with ambulance operations experience for full-time, day-shift work. You will communicate patient statuses with care facilities, monitor equipment, and provide timely handoffs to receiving staff.

Required are EMT and BLS certifications, a valid driver's license or CDL, and familiarity with MS Office. This role emphasizes patient safety, rapid response, and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Clear communication of patient conditions, status, and arrival times.
• Ability to analyze data, techniques, equipment operations and quality control.
• Ability to determine life threatening conditions and provide appropriate emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Communicates delays and updates to dispatch and reports any damage or vehicle issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Adheres to department SOPs and ensures patient documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.
• Communicates findings and patient conditions to nurses, paramedics, and personnel.
• Assists crew with ventilator setup, cardiac monitor, IV line, and pumps.
• Responsible for charting documentation and patient care with BLS patients.
• Provides receiving staff with a full patient report.
• Monitors patient conditions and aggregates data.
• Completes patient care record within 24 hrs.
• Assists with patient mobilization, ambulation, and transport.
• Maintains equipment and keeps the unit ready for transports.
• Operates emergency vehicles safely under various conditions.
• Uses appropriate medical equipment and assesses injury/medical severity.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
