Job summary

McHenry County College is seeking EMS Trainers to provide instruction in the EMS program, guiding students toward licensure and ongoing professional growth. Instructors will teach skills labs and ensure compliance with National EMS Education Standards and IDPH requirements across multiple sites in McHenry County.

Trainers must hold Illinois EMS licensure (EMT/Paramedic or RN) and CPR for Healthcare Providers, with readiness to teach day, evening, or weekend sessions.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• CPR for Healthcare Provider certification.
• Ability to obtain current EMS System Protocol Competency.

Responsibilities

• Teach EMS program per National EMS Education Standards and IDPH rules.
• Deliver skills labs for EMR/EMT/Paramedic scope of practice.
• Provide day, evening, or weekend classes at various locations.
• Confer with students before/after class via college email.
