Job summary

City of Victorville is seeking an EMS Administrator to oversee Emergency Medical Services programs, training, evaluation, procurement, inventory control, and quality improvement. The role ensures regulatory compliance and serves as liaison with hospitals and agencies.

Responsibilities include developing EMS policies, coordinating training for Paramedic and EMT providers, managing budgets, and supervising EMS staff in a dynamic city setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Paramedicine, Fire Science, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing or closely related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in the delivery of emergency medical care as a Registered Nurse or significant pre-hospital care as a Paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan, design, implement, and administer EMS programs and related department-wide initiatives.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of EMS documentation and care delivered.
• Develop and manage budgets for EMS and oversee EMS inventory and cost controls.
• Represent the Fire Department on local, state, and federal EMS boards/committees.
