Bluegrass Community & Technical College is seeking an Instructor for the EMS/Paramedic program on the Leestown Campus in Kentucky. This full-time, 10-month contract role blends on-campus and online teaching as part of the Allied Health division.

The position requires significant EMS field experience and teaching credentials, with a focus on program quality and student outcomes. Benefits and a supportive work environment are included.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree and minimum of five (5) years certified or licensed as a Paramedic.
• Provide documentation that two (2) years of the five (5) years’ experience required is experience providing care with an EMS organization that complies with the requirements.
• Be knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards and evidenced-informed clinical practice.
• Provide proof of completion of a KBEMS approved EMS educator course that meets the objectives of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and possess a valid KBEMS Level III Instructor certification.

• Participate in the administration, organization, and supervision of the educational program.
• Continuous quality review and improvement of the educational program.
• Participate in long range planning and ongoing development of the program.
• Effectiveness of the program, including instruction and faculty, with systems in place to demonstrate the effectiveness of the program.
• Cooperative involvement with the EMS team.
• Participate in the orientation/training and supervision of clinical and field internship preceptors.
• Effectiveness and quality of fulfillment of responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
