Job summary

EMS Full-Time Operations Supervisor – EMT in Springfield, MA

$54,000-$70,000 per year depending on relevant experience

Position Overview

The Operations Supervisor ensures the delivery of high‑quality, compassionate patient care by supporting and supervising EMS field personnel. This role combines leadership, clinical oversight, and operational coordination to keep units staffed, prepared, and performing at their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support, coach, and supervise EMS personnel
  • Ensure clinical quality, protocol compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and daily staffing needs.
  • Respond to major incidents and coordinate operations during emergencies or disasters.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and customer concerns; document and resolve issues.
  • Maintain relationships with fire, police, hospitals, and other partner agencies.
  • Oversee narcotics management, fleet readiness, and unit stocking.
  • Communicate company updates, gather field feedback, and help resolve employee concerns.
  • Participate in training, orientation, performance feedback, and employee development.
  • Support HR processes including counseling, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Complete required reports, paperwork, and operational documentation.
Qualifications
Experience:
  • At least 3 years of EMT experience
  • Prior supervisory, FTO, or instructor experience preferred
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field preferred
Skills:
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current EMT certification
  • Must meet AMR driving policy requirements
