Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate emergency vehicles safely in accordance with Washington State laws.
  • Respond to EMS calls and assist with patient transport.
  • Support EMTs and medical personnel during emergency response.
  • Assist with moving patients and operating equipment such as stretchers and lifts.
  • Maintain ambulance readiness including cleaning, restocking, and equipment checks.
  • Communicate with dispatch, hospitals, and emergency teams via radio.
  • Complete trip documentation and transport records.
  • Maintain professionalism and compassion with patients and families.
  • Follow safety, PPE, and privacy guidelines.

Salary: Starting at $18.00 per hour based on experience
Position Type: On-call supplemental

Position Overview

We are supporting Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center in seeking an EMS Driver to support emergency response services. As an EMS Driver, you will safely operate ambulance vehicles, assist with patient movement, and help ensure each emergency response runs smoothly. You will work alongside Emergency Medical Technicians, paramedics, and emergency responders as part of a coordinated care team.

What You Will Do
  • Operate emergency vehicles safely in accordance with Washington State laws
  • Respond to emergency medical services calls and assist with patient transport
  • Support Emergency Medical Technicians and medical personnel during emergency response
  • Assist with moving patients and operating equipment such as stretchers and lifts
  • Maintain ambulance readiness including cleaning, restocking, and equipment checks
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospitals, and emergency teams via radio
  • Complete trip documentation and transport records
  • Maintain professionalism and compassion when interacting with patients and families
  • Follow all safety, personal protective equipment, and privacy guidelines
