Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico seeks an EMS Medical Director to oversee occupational emergency medical services for employees. The role includes medical leadership of EMS staff, protocol oversight, and administrative responsibility for EMS operations.

The candidate must hold NM licensure, be able to obtain NV licensure, and obtain a DOE Q clearance. Travel to Nevada is required, with robust safety and compliance duties across sites.

Qualifications

• Current NM Licensure is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Nevada medical license.
• Willingness to travel to Nevada site as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain BLS, ACLS, and other required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Function as Medical Director for SNL/NM EMS program, overseeing EMDs.
• Approve site-specific EMS procedures for EMT-P.
• Oversee EMS program operations, policies, QA, and personnel direction.
• Direct the Medical Operation for the National Training Center paramedics.
• Review and critique all pre-hospital EMS patient care within SNL/NM.
• Lead scheduled EMS drills and exercise planning; train staff.
