Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an EMS Coordinator for the Emergency Department at The Jewish Hospital. You will coordinate between hospital and local EMS agencies, organize ongoing EMS education, and provide quality assurance information to improve EMS utilization and patient care.

Responsibilities include monthly EMS-provider meetings, performance improvement activities, and reporting to hospital leadership. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years EMS experience with prehospital or hospital patient contact.
• National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (required).
• American Heart Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred).
• State of Ohio Emergency Services Instructor (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities to enhance relations between hospital and EMS providers.
• Communicates with EMS providers, meeting at least monthly.
• Facilitates EMS communication with ED staff and hospital teams as needed.
• Provides leadership with routine reports on EMS stations’ needs and improvements.
• Monitors EMS statistics and patient care metrics for quality review.
• Plans and organizes EMS education events and maintains contact databases.
• Attends local, regional and state EMS meetings.
