Job summary

LifeLine Ambulance is seeking a qualified EMT Lead Instructor for its EMS academy in Illinois. The instructor will work under the Director of Education, plan, schedule, and deliver EMT classes, arrange guest speakers, and mentor staff and students.

The ideal candidate holds current IDPH EMT-B or Paramedic licensure and IDPH Lead Instructor licensure, with at least three years’ field experience and prior teaching. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication and organizational skills.
• Experience teaching EMT/paramedic courses preferred.
• HIPAA/OSHA knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily class activities.
• Manage the learning environment.
• Monitor student attendance.
• Provide evaluations and feedback to students and staff.
• Maintain records per EMS, IDPH and NREMT requirements.
• Deliver didactic content and supervise skills sessions.
• Grade quizzes, tests, and homework.
• Design/use testing instruments.
• Mentor students and instructors.
• Adhere to syllabus and develop lesson plans.
• Maintain office hours and participate in meetings.
