Job summary

Front Range Community College in Boulder County seeks a part-time Emergency Medical Services Instructor to educate students pursuing EMS careers at the Longmont campus. The role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction across EMS topics using simulations and hands-on learning.

The instructor will work with EMS faculty to assess competencies, adapt to various course formats, and travel between FRCC campuses as needed; Colorado residency on hire is required and E-Verify applies.

Qualifications

• An associate degree (or current industry license) with 4000 verified hours within five years.
• Or a Bachelor's/Master's with 18 discipline-related credits and 4000 hours within five years.
• Current Colorado EMS Provider Certification at the EMT level or higher.
• At least one year of clinical emergency medicine experience; prehospital EMS preferred.
• Meet FRCC/CCCS/Colorado requirements for the instructional role.
• CTE credential or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality EMS instruction using technology, simulation, and hands-on learning.
• Teach EMS topics and units, including lab and skills sessions.
• Evaluate student competency and provide feedback for improvement.
• Serve as instructor of record when qualified and assigned.
• Collaborate with EMS faculty across campuses.
