Job summary

Boston MedFlight is seeking a Fleet Specialist in Bedford, MA to manage the day-to-day readiness and maintenance of the ground vehicle fleet, including ambulances and support vehicles.

You will coordinate preventive maintenance, manage maintenance records, and work with internal teams and vendors to minimize downtime and control costs. The role requires after-hours availability and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in automotive/fleet maintenance or related operations.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and fleet lifecycle management.
• Experience with fleet data, telematics, and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain readiness of ambulances and fleet assets.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with internal and external partners.
• Manage fleet records, recalls, warranties, and costs.
• Monitor fleet performance and efficiency, identify trends.
• Assist in vehicle acquisition and lifecycle planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Provide after-hours support for urgent fleet issues.
