Job summary

Syracuse City Fire Department is seeking a Part-Time Fire Fighter to respond to medical and fire incidents as part of the Emergency Services Program. The role involves hazard response, CPR and trauma management, public fire/medical education, and ongoing training to maintain required certifications.

You will work with other firefighting personnel to support community safety and meet the department's standards, including maintaining Utah Firefighter I & II, Hazmat Awareness, and AEMT/Paramedic

Qualifications

• Valid State of Utah Driver's License Class D is required.
• UFRA/IFSAC Firefighter I & II certifications must be current.
• Hazmat Awareness & Operations certification required.
• Utah AEMT or Paramedic license must be active.
• NWCG Red Card within one year of hire is needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to hazard emergencies including fire suppression and rescue.
• Provide medical care, CPR, trauma management, and victim transport.
• Educate and train public in fire and medical programs for safety.
• Attend training to maintain certifications and skills.
• Collaborate with other firefighting personnel to achieve goals.
