Job summary

Public Consulting Group is seeking a Consultant to support EMS, fire service, health care financing, and Medicaid reimbursement projects for state and local government clients. You will analyze policy, financial, and operational challenges and develop practical, data-driven solutions, while managing client relationships and project workstreams.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rigorous analysis, and business development contributions, with remote work and travel as needed across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience with EMS, fire services, Medicaid financing, and public-sector consulting operations.
• Ability to analyze policies, programs, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Strong MS Office skills with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience managing client-facing projects and delivering technical materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project workstreams and manage client relationships.
• Develop reports, financial analyses, and recommendations.
• Support business development and proposal efforts.
• Write and coordinate technical sections for proposals.
• Conduct research on healthcare reimbursement and cost reporting.
• Present findings and collaborate with stakeholders across levels.
• Monitor policy developments and assess impacts on programs.
