Job summary

Community Ambulance Muscogee County seeks a Paramedic to provide critical EMS care and transport, operating under Georgia scope of practice. You will respond to calls, assess patients, administer treatment, and coordinate with receiving facilities.

You will work within a team, maintain documentation, and participate in disaster response during mass casualty incidents while ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Paramedic provider level certification per Georgia Scope of Practice.
• Ability to respond to disaster and mass casualty situations.

Responsibilities

• Arrive for work at the designated station, rested and prepared to work the scheduled shift.
• Respond in the assigned response status to calls assigned by CMED or to the designated ambulance post.
• Maintain two-way communication with CMED throughout shift.
• Conduct initial patient assessment and administer treatment within the current Georgia Scope of Practice for EMS Personnel at the Paramedic level.
• Assist crew in safely lifting, packaging, moving, and transporting patients to ensure optimum care.
• Provide safe and efficient transport of the patient while monitoring and delivering continuing care.
• Communicate with receiving facility to obtain medical direction and provide critical information.
• Ensure orderly transfer of the patient to the receiving facility.
• Complete all required documentation prior to end of shift.
• Maintain compliance with Georgia Rules and Regulations and EMS Protocols.
• Direct resources during mass casualty/disaster operations.
• Attend scheduled meetings as required by the Director of EMS Operations.
