Job summary

Columbia State Community College is seeking 12-month EMS faculty to deliver instruction across online, in-person, hybrid, and clinical formats at the Columbia, TN campus. The role includes academic advising, student success facilitation, and active participation in curriculum development.

Regular full-time EMS faculty teach a minimum of hours and participate in college activities, with a second track for part-time EMS faculty who have limited benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree minimum; a Bachelor's in EMS or related field is preferred.
• Tennessee Paramedic license (or eligible) without history of revocation, denial or suspension.
• Paramedic Instructor/Coordinator endorsement (or eligible) is required or desired.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (or equivalent) are required or preferred.
• Minimum two years of full-time equivalent work in the pre-hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in multiple formats (in-person, online, hybrid, videoconferencing).
• Provide academic advising and support student success.
• Engage in curriculum and program development, revision and evaluation.
• Maintain an environment conducive to learning and prepare courses/labs.
• Participate in committees and collaboration with internal/external partners.
• Support enrollment, retention and graduation growth for the service area.
