Job summary

Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking an Adjunct EMS Instructor to support EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic education. The role includes curriculum development, didactic and lab instruction, and coordination of clinical rotations with the EMS Program Coordinator, while maintaining student records and evaluating progress.

The instructor will stay current with SC DHEC and National standards, supervise labs, and participate in program planning and assessment to advance EMS education.

Qualifications

• National Registry and SC DHEC Paramedic Certification required.
• SC DHEC EMS Instructor Certification EMT/Advanced EMT/Paramedic required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor certifications required.
• NAEMT Advanced Medical Life Support Instructor required.
• ITLS Instructor required.

Responsibilities

• Develop competency-based instructional materials meeting National Standards and SC DHEC curriculum requirements.
• Supervise, provide instruction, and evaluate EMS students in programs.
• Coordinate with the EMS Program Coordinator for clinical rotations and direction to students.
• Maintain student records and prepare reports for program evaluation.
• Contribute to program planning, policy revision, and equipment maintenance.
