Job summary

City Building Engineering Services (CBES) is seeking an EMS Design Engineer to review, design, and coordinate EMS and electrical scope requirements for refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, and other building systems in new and remodeled stores. You will assist in coordinating the construction process alongside the Project Manager and team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills, excellent communication, and up to 20% travel to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong computer skills including AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop EMS electrical designs using AutoCAD for refrigeration, HVAC, lighting systems.
• Coordinate electrical designs with Energy Management, Store Planning, and Architectural/Engineering teams.
• Conduct field assessments and due diligence surveys of existing systems.
• Commission EMS systems post-installation to ensure adherence to design documents.
• Review designs, submittals, equipment requisitions, and related materials.
• Provide technical support for equipment and control systems.
• Support Project Managers to keep projects on schedule.
