Job summary

City Building Engineering Services (CBES) in Burlington, MA seeks an EMS Design Engineer to review, design and coordinate EMS and electrical scope for refrigeration, HVAC and building systems in new or remodeled stores. You will work with Project Managers to keep schedules and quality across design, field surveys and commissioning.

Requirements include a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills, and 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong computer skills including AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD to develop EMS electrical designs for systems.
• Coordinate electrical designs with Energy Management, Store Planning, and Architecture/Engineering teams.
• Conduct field assessments and due diligence surveys of existing systems.
• Commission EMS systems post-installation to ensure quality and adherence to design documents.
• Review designs, submittals, equipment requisitions, and related materials.
• Provide technical support for equipment and control systems.
• Support Project Managers to keep projects on schedule.
