Patriot Ambulance Service is seeking a Customer Service Representative (EMD-Trainee) to be the first contact for partner facilities in Flint, MI. You will process transport requests, gather patient information, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely communication.

Qualifications

• Must have strong language skills and the ability to read and interpret documents from multiple sources.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Must possess basic map reading skills.
• Must have operational computer and software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain response readiness for all calls.
• Answer telephone and radio calls in English and determine action needed.
• Collect transport details: patient condition, pickup, destination, timing, priority.
• Enter transport data into company software accurately and quickly.
• Provide professional service and maintain relationships with referring partners.
• Train toward certification and achieve it within three months of hire.
• Record times, mileages and information through the call completion.
• Communicate directions and medical information to crew clearly and accurately.
• Protect patient privacy and adhere to privacy policies and HIPAA rules.
• Complete logs, forms and reports accurately and completely.
• Read maps and use map data to determine routes for crews.
• Wear approved uniform during shifts and work all assigned shifts.
