Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with EMS agency reps and hospital leaders on performance improvement needs and investigations.
  • Promote community relations by liaising with state and local offices on EMS activities.
  • Schedule and coordinate Morbidity & Mortality and CME sessions with the Affiliate Hospital Medical Director.
  • Stay current with EMS rules and regulations at federal and local levels, including MA changes.
  • Host EMS committee meetings and serve on local/regional public committees.
  • Audit EMS run sheets and collect quality data per standards, especially ALS cases.
  • Coordinate remedial training opportunities with the EMS Medical Director.

Duties/Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Collaborate, meet with and provide ongoing feedback to EMS agency representatives and hospital leaders to address any performance improvement needs, complaint investigations and resolution.
  • Promote and maintain positive community relations by initiating and maintaining relationships with various state and local municipality offices and acting as a liaison for any EMS related activities.
  • Schedule, organize and coordinate Morbidity & Mortality and CME sessions for EMS providers in collaboration with the Affiliate Hospital Medical Director to assess relevant and pertinent educational topics.
  • Keep current with rules and regulations which govern the operation of Emergency Medical Services at both federal and local levels. Serve as a knowledgeable resource of current and proposed EMS changes nationally and regionally for MA.
  • Hosts north market area EMS Committee quarterly meets with EMS service Directors and Fire Chiefs.
  • EMS representative to local and regional public committees.
  • Updates Ambulance Service licenses/ drug licenses on file with pharmacy and a current list of each EMS services employees.
  • Participates in review and revision of hospital policies.
  • Responsible for auditing EMS run sheets and collecting quality and statistical data consistent with standards and protocols, particularly with patients in which ALS services were provided.
  • Collaborates with EMS Medical Director to assure remedial training opportunities and skill maintenance.

Qualifications

  • 5 years prior clinical experience in emergency services

Education Required

  • Bachelors Preferred

Registration/Certification

  • Current Licensure at EMT-Paramedic
  • BLS, ACLS & PALS certification

Pay Range $28.85 - $48.08

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
