  • Identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of clinical risk.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions and performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Track key performance indicators, including patient outcomes, protocol compliance, and clinical performance.
  • Assist with maintaining and improving LifeStar Response's overall clinical quality assurance program.
  • Work collaboratively with the KQT Health DON and appropriate management to address clinical concerns and improve patient care.
Compliance & Regulatory Support:
  • Ensure clinical operations remain compliant with applicable state, federal, and industry standards, including HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
  • Assist with EMS agency licensing, inspections, audits, and credentialing processes.
  • Serve as a liaison with outside hospitals, state and local agencies, EMS organizations, and other healthcare partners as directed by management.
  • Identify compliance concerns and assist leadership with appropriate resolution.
Employee Health & Clinical Support:
  • Facilitate clinical and employee health activities, including:
    • Vaccine administration
    • TB testing
    • COVID-19 testing
    • Other health and clinical initiatives as needed.
  • Support clinical staff with questions and concerns related to patient care, protocols, and clinical practices.
Inventory & Controlled Substance Management:
  • Maintain inventory control for BLS, ALS, and SCT equipment, medications, controlled substances, and clinical supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels, expiration dates, security, and appropriate documentation.
  • Identify supply or equipment concerns and coordinate with appropriate leadership to ensure operational readiness.
Training & Education
  • Work alongside the Clinical Director and Training Team to develop and deliver ongoing clinical education.
  • Assist with training EMTs and Paramedics to maintain and improve clinical competencies.
  • Identify training opportunities based on QA findings, clinical trends, protocol changes, and operational needs.
  • Help create a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Serve as a key liaison between clinical staff and management.
  • Communicate clinical concerns, trends, protocol updates, and quality initiatives effectively.
  • Partner with hospitals, facilities, clients, and healthcare organizations to address clinical concerns and enhance service delivery.
  • Collaborate across departments to promote consistency and high-quality patient care throughout the organization.
What We're Looking For:
  • Current Paramedic (preferred) or EMT certification; nursing or other relevant clinical credentials may be considered.
  • Previous EMS field experience required.
  • Experience with quality assurance, chart auditing, clinical education, compliance, or EMS leadership strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of EMS clinical protocols, documentation requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify trends, analyze clinical documentation, and make sound recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical and operational leadership.
  • Professional, approachable, and committed to maintaining a positive clinical culture.
  • Proficiency with electronic documentation and Microsoft Office applications.
