Qualifications

• Medical Billing or Coding Certification preferred but not required.
• Experience in customer care or similar roles is a plus.
• Fluency in second language (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review Patient Care Reports to establish medical necessity and service level.
• Communicate with internal/external departments to obtain missing documentation.
• Assign condition codes for transport reasons with high accuracy.
• Bill accurately following policies and procedures.
• Place calls to insurance payers to obtain patient policy numbers when needed.
• Complete pre-billing training and verify insurance as required.
