Job summary

Lone Star College-CyFair is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Emergency Medical Services courses across multiple times and locations. This part-time position offers day, evening, and weekend classes and may involve teaching at various campuses in the CyFair area.

As a faculty member, you will plan, develop and deliver courses, assess student progress, and engage with the community. A degree in EMS and paramedic certification are required, with prior teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in EMS or related field or Bachelor's degree with 3 years nonteaching experience; paramedic certification required.
• Teaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including day/evening/weekend classes.

Responsibilities

• Teaches EMS courses at multiple times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement.
• Submits required reports and forms promptly.
• Uses course syllabi and institutional guidelines.
• Advises students before or after class or by appointment.
• Evaluates student progress and communicates feedback promptly.
• Maintains professional relationships with students and colleagues.
• Attends trainings, meetings, and orientations.
• Other duties as assigned.
