Job summary

Massachusetts Bay Community College is seeking Adjunct Faculty for EMS to teach in the EMT and Paramedicine Programs. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare and a passion for teaching diverse student populations.

Responsibilities include teaching classroom and lab courses, developing curricula, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. Candidates must have current MA and/or NREMT certification and two years of EMS experience.

Qualifications

• You must obtain your Massachusetts paramedic license within 30 days of hire if you only hold NREMT certification.
• A minimum of two years of experience within the last ten years as a Paramedic.
• Current AHA BLS Instructor credential if teaching EMT's.

Responsibilities

• Teach EMT and Paramedicine Programs in classroom and hospital settings.
• Prepare syllabi and develop curricula for lectures.
• Participate in College and Program meetings as needed.
• Maintain a safe environment during skills training.

Skills

Current MA and/or NREMT Paramedic certification

Experience in emergency medical services

Teaching experience in EMS

Current AHA, BLS, and ACLS certification

Sensitivity to student needs

Education

Associate degree or comparable experience

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
