Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is seeking a Medical Informatics Analyst - EMR Data Integration, Operations & Analytics to support EMR data integration, data quality, and analytic initiatives across departments. You will work with clinical and IT teams to design data solutions that improve reporting and decision making.

The role requires strong SQL and data analysis skills, familiarity with EMR/EHR data, and experience with data warehousing concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Healthcare IT or related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 4 years of experience in health care data and analytics.
Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
Experience with EMR/EHR data and healthcare terminology.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL.
Ability to translate complex data to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Leads or participates in data-driven projects with some direction.
Provides programming and data expertise for simple to moderately complex projects.
Presents data and solutions to internal or external customers clearly.
Supports EMR Connectivity, risk adjustment, STARS, and NCQA/HEDIS initiatives.
Standardizes, harmonizes, cleans and shares data across the organization.
Develops data-centric solutions including third-party integrations like HEDIS and PGIP.
