Job summary

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region is seeking a Personal Support Coach-DSP to ensure dignified, person-centered supports for individuals in home and community settings. You will assist with personal care, daily living skills, budgeting, and community engagement, while maintaining documentation and safety protocols.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years in residential settings preferred, and CNA/GNA plus CPR/First Aid certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years' experience in a residential setting preferred.
• CNA/GNA certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as toileting, feeding, hygiene as needed.
• Assist with daily living skills like meal planning, shopping, grooming, job skills.
• Support appropriate social interaction and hygiene in home, community or work settings.
• Schedule and transport to events, worksites and appointments.
• Complete daily documentation and charting, including Caretracker data.
• Administer medications timely when applicable and notify nursing staff.
• Provide budgeting and financial guidance support where applicable.
• Develop and follow PCPs and BSPs; follow policies and no-restraint philosophy.
