Cornerstones of Care in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Family Support Specialist. You will partner with Foster Care Case Managers to provide support to parents and families, strengthening relationships and working toward reunification.

You will engage families through short and long-term interventions, including individual or group family support and supervised visitation. The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license

Competenze

• 2 years of experience working with children and families.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of child development practice.
• Must be 21+ and pass background check, drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Mansioni

• Provide supervision and support during family time, appointments, transitions, and emergencies.
• Supervises family time in an office, home, or community setting.
• Support parents during supervised family time by modeling safe, nurturing interactions.
• Provide coaching to parents and children during interactions to build on skills and promote growth opportunities.
• Staff children in hospitals or placements when supervision is required.
• Work with the family on case plan goals and court orders.
