Job summary

The Arc Greater Hudson Valley NY invites applications for a Direct Support Professional - Day Program in Sullivan and Orange Counties, NY. You will assist individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living skills within a group home setting, following individualized service plans and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include supervising safety, supporting ADLs, meals, mobility, transportation to activities, documenting daily progress to support treatment goals.

Qualifications

Must have valid driver's license with 12 months driving experience.
High School diploma/GED preferred
One year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred

Responsibilities

Provide training in daily living skills within a group home setting.
Review and follow each individual's plan of protection and Individual Service Plan.
Supervise individuals to ensure safety.
Assist with ADLs including bathing, toileting, personal care and dressing.
Escort and transport individuals to community programs and activities.
Document daily observations to support assessment and development of treatment goals.
Attend to routine health-care needs under supervision of medical personnel.
Perform CPR & first aid as needed
