Job summary

ExpertCare in Michigan is seeking Youth Mentors to work 1:1 with recipients in their homes, fostering skill-building and personal growth. This role emphasizes compassionate support, reliable communication, and the ability to follow care plans to help recipients reach their goals.

You will also help navigate community activities, expanding opportunities outside the home, and participate in a benefits-rich environment with paid training and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
• Comfortable supporting individuals with varying abilities.
• Reliable transportation to and from assignments.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to recipients in their homes.
• Support, encourage, and help with skill-building activities.
• Accompany recipients to community activities to support goals.
