Plummer Youth Promise is seeking a compassionate Housing Coordinator to help young adults secure and maintain safe housing, supporting their transition to independence. You will navigate housing searches, coordinate case work, and advocate for tenants within a trauma‑informed framework to promote stability.

The role emphasizes direct support, collaboration with partners, and building independent living skills while coordinating transportation and moving processes as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience with youth, young adults, housing programs or human services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and driving history.

Responsibilities

• Support young adults in identifying and securing safe, stable housing opportunities.
• Maintain a caseload of young adults and conduct regular apartment visits.
• Assist with apartment searches, showings, and landlord communication.
• Educate on housing applications, tenant rights, budgeting, lease responsibilities and independent living.
• Assist with move-ins/outs and housing transitions; complete housing safety inspections.
• Advocate for young adults and build relationships with housing partners.
• Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, supervision and on-call coverage.
• Provide transportation support as needed and coordinate simple home tasks.
