Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles in Burbank is seeking a Swim Lesson Instructor to deliver safe, engaging swim lessons under the supervision of the Aquatics Director. You will maintain a nurturing aquatic environment and ensure all safety procedures are followed during class and in the pool area.

You will plan sessions, track progress, issue certificates, and communicate with parents about placement and outcomes while upholding the YMCA Core Values and emergency protocols.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to teach swim lessons and enforce safety policies.
• Certifications must be current: safety/first aid and swim instructor credentials.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swim lessons per YMCA program and keep class rosters.
• Maintain safety in pool area and enforce rules.
• Track progress, issue certificates, and communicate with parents.
