Job summary

Seattle Public Schools seeks a dedicated special education teacher to join our Resource service pathway. You will provide instruction, counseling, and supervision to meet individual student needs under the direction of the building principal and program managers.

Responsibilities include developing IEPs, adapting curricula, and collaborating with families and staff to support student achievement and progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; experience teaching diverse urban student populations preferred.
• Special Education endorsement required or eligible for
• Ability to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and adapt instruction.

Responsibilities

• Fosters an educational environment and plans instructional programs to meet individual student needs.
• Uses appropriate instructional methods and materials; implements curriculum objectives.
