Job summary

Arbor Associates is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide comprehensive academic, social-emotional, and behavioral support in a structured therapeutic school environment in Massachusetts.

The teacher will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement IEPs, differentiated instruction, and individualized supports, ensuring safety and progress for students with diverse needs. Strong communication with families and staff is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Massachusetts teaching licensure in the appropriate category.
Special Education – Moderate Disabilities 5–12 or PreK–8 license preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in educational settings with diverse students is preferred.
Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor students throughout the school day.
Provide individualized supports addressing academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs.
Develop and implement IEPs and differentiated instruction.
Assess and monitor student progress using benchmarks and data.
Maintain accurate grades and quarterly progress notes.
Collaborate with family and multidisciplinary team on goals and services.
