Job summary

Lowell Community Charter Public School seeks a Licensed Moderate Disabilities- Special Education Teacher to provide instruction, evaluation, coordination and regulatory compliance for SPED students in inclusive settings.

You will collaborate with general education co-teachers and instructional teams to plan and share student work, ensuring instruction aligns with identified curriculum and standards while maintaining high expectations for all students.

Qualifications

• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education co-teachers and instructional teams to align instruction with curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide specially designed instruction with accommodations and modifications.
• Supervise paraprofessionals to ensure access to the curriculum.
• Develop and maintain IEPs in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Assess student progress using formal and informal methods, not only standardized tests.
• Engage families to participate in student learning and program planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
