Qualifications

• Holds a valid Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate endorsement.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Meets health and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plans curriculum and prepares lessons for individual needs and physical limitations of students.
• Prepares for classes and shows evidence of preparation upon request.
• Devises specialized teaching tools and materials.
• Provides intensive instruction tailored to each student.
• Evaluates students using screening measures and records progress.
• Conducts IEP-team meetings and conferences with parents; writes and implements I.E.P.
