Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes at designated times
• Prepares for classes and documents preparation aligned with objectives
• Participates in eligibility, placement and IEP meetings as required
• Uses state and district standards to guide instruction and focus on content mastery
• Maintains progress records for each student
• Provides educational programs and consults with general education teachers
• Ensures appropriate modifications and accommodations are documented timely
• Completes required school paperwork within timelines
• Maintains open communication with students and parents regarding progress
• Creates a conducive classroom environment aligned with district resources and goals
• Guides learning toward IEP goals
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to laws and policies
• Performs other duties as assigned
