Qualifications

• Certification/licensing from Ohio Department of Education required.
• Educational Aide Permit with ESEA endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of students and protect equipment and facilities.
• Tutor and assist students individually or in small groups.
• Teach social and self-care skills to students.
• Supervise students in various areas and on field trips.
• Provide extra assistance to students with special needs.
• Assist in bus loading and unloading.
• Coordinate duties with teachers to support instruction.
• Handle materials and assist with behavior management plans.
• Provide assistive devices and accessibility support.
• Report student needs/progress to educational specialists.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and forms.
• Interact positively with staff, students, and parents.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
