Job summary

Madison Metropolitan School District is seeking a Special Education Assistant (SEA) at Capital High for 0.845 FTE across 26-27 school years. The role involves instructional support, behavioral supervision, and daily living assistance for students with disabilities under supervision of a licensed professional.

Starting wage is $25.47 per hour; non-exempt position, roughly aligned with the 26-27 salary schedule.

Qualifications

• Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
• Have an Associate’s Degree.
• Have completed 48 academic credits beyond high school.
• Pass an onsite assessment offered by the District in lieu of meeting one of the requirements above.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support and academic assistance across 4K-12.
• Support transition services (ages 18-21) with job coaching on-site.
• Assist with behavioral intervention and supervision.
• Support daily living and personal care tasks with students.
• Maintain accurate data and documentation for student progress.
• Collaborate with licensed professionals and district staff.
