Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required with direct treatment experience.
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist in Washington or able to obtain within 6 months.
  • Excellent communication, listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusting, supportive relationships based on shared lived experience.
  • Provide peer mentoring, encouragement, and advocacy for participants.
  • Collaborate with MIH team to identify needs and develop support plans.
  • Connect individuals to community resources, healthcare, and social services.
  • Document interactions and referrals in accordance with guidelines and confidentiality.
  • Participate in case reviews, outreach, and program evaluation.
