Job summary

Apple Rehab Farmington Valley in Plainville, CT seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. The OTA provides quality resident care to enable maximum functional ability, under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Director and OT.

Graduate of AOTA accredited OTA program and eligible for licensure required; prior long-term care experience preferred. We offer competitive salary and first-rate benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AOTA accredited OTA school and eligible for licensure in their state of practice.
• Prior Long-term Care Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Complies with ethical, regulatory, procedural and professional standards and practice guidelines as defined by state of licensure.
• Assists the OT in providing occupational therapy treatments to residents as determined by the Plan of Care as directed by the OT
• Manages caseload with supervisor by scheduling treatment individually or in groups while maintaining efficiency expectations.
• Instructs resident, family, and caregivers in OT procedures to be continued upon discharge.
• Adheres to PPS guidelines, ensures all OT documentation/treatment conforms to documentation/billing policies and procedures.
• Working with OT, provides oversight and direction techs and assists in the supervision and education of affiliating students.
• Assists in the assurance that the physical surroundings and equipment are sanitary, orderly and free from conditions that may cause safety hazards.
