Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee teaching license with appropriate content endorsement or transfer within 90 days.
• Alternative: practitioner license while completing certification, with enrollment in an EPP program.
• Belief in IOTA's mission and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings and trainings; school day typically 7:30 am–4:30 pm.
• Instruct STEM content with standards-based methods and AV materials.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align curricula.
• Set clear short- and long-term instructional goals.
• Develop and submit weekly and long-range lesson plans with standards and assessments.
• Use data to evaluate pupil progress and communicate with families.
• Create intervention plans and maintain attendance and conduct policies.
• Maintain classroom supervision and discipline; support student needs.
• Lead or participate in student activities and community engagement.
